Purpose is what you see in the eyes of every scholar at Purpose Prep. They understand that each day at Purpose Prep is a stepping stone towards their hopes and dreams for their future. At Purpose Prep, purpose is the foundation that fuels the hard work, the diligence, and the unrelenting effort demonstrated by each and every scholar and staff member.
Purpose Prep's heightened sense of purpose has enabled us to make history this year.
Purpose Prep was recognized as a Tennessee Reward School for academic achievement, ranking within the top 5% of schools in the state of Tennessee. We made history in our first year of state testing ever for Purpose Prep. But we also made history for our city. Purpose Prep is the first elementary school in North Nashville to ever have earned this distinction in Nashville's history! This historic accomplishment illuminates the power of the work of Purpose Prep, but also emphasizes the gravity of the state of education in our city. That is why Purpose Prep is committed to continuing to elevate the achievement for elementary children in Nashville!

JAZZ WITH PURPOSE
Your investment in Purpose Prep enabled us to build a strong foundation of academic excellence, and this historic accomplishment could not have been possible without you. That is why we are eager to celebrate our Reward School Status with you at our annual Jazz with Purpose fundraiser brunch on Saturday, May 5th. This event will feature musical selections by renowned Jazz musician Kevin Whalum, and a beautiful live art creation by distinguished visual artist, James Threalkill. Purpose Prep Reward School Scholars will also be performing spoken word selections that speak to their purpose and the pride of their achievements. Please join us on May 5th as we celebrate our history-making work!
OUR BUILDING CELEBRATION
We recently celebrated the completion of our school's building expansion project with board members and critical contributors of our Growing with Purpose Capital Campaign. Mayor Briley emphasized the impact that Purpose Prep was having on the Nashville community. We honored Board Member Perry Gooch for his diligence and dedication throughout the planning, preparation, and construction process. Mr. Gooch has been involved in our facility efforts since day one, and we dedicated our "Pathway to Purpose" in his honor. We have so much to celebrate this year, and we are so thankful to all who help make our accomplishments possible.
